A digital rendered disruption presenting five water vessels, to speculate and critique societies frivolous dependance on the digital built environment. How this dependance has altered the notion of reality within one's present identity, digitally and physically. Inspired by the works of Bruno Latours' Matters of Fact vs. Matters of Concern, Jane Benett's' Thing Power, Dunne and Raby's Speculative Everything amongst others this work, situates it self within the speculative discourse, to bring a halt and a questioning criticality to one of our normative and consumerist behaviours.

The speculative nature of these vessel objects calls out for a highly critical and insertive approach to their introduction into society. Post an analysis of the five constructed speculative vessels alongside a critical questioning to how these objects will be situated within the “real”, we decided to challenge the notion of “real” by introducing a secondary level of speculation through today’s digital built environment. By layering a second level speculation through the digital world of the internet, we aim to maximize disruption and critically provide a mirrored reflection of society itself.
